Jamie has practiced freestyle karate from 1998, achieving black belt at the mascot, junior and senior levels. He currently holds the title of second degree black belt. Jamie has been instructing for 5 years and teaches out of the Gisborne dojo (training facility). He has proficiency in the martial arts weapons of bo and nunchuka and has competed in various categories of ISKA tournaments.

Jamie’s drive in teaching is to inspire students to achieve their goals in martial arts and develop a solid foundation of self defense in a safe family environment.
